Beekeeping in the Finger Lakes
March 23rd 7pm
Interlaken beekeeper Duane Waid will present an overview of beekeeping in our area.  Learn about the local history of beekeeping, famous local beekeepers, and suggestions for getting started in beekeeping,  Duane will just be returning from a national conference on beekeeping and will also update us on the current bee crisis.

Tree Grafting   March 26th  10:30am-noon
Learn the history, lore and mechanics of fruit tree grafting with John Reynolds from Daring Drake Farm.  Students will have hands on practice doing a tongue and whip graft.  Each participant will leave class with two apple trees to plant.  15+ apple varieties will be provided to choose from.

Living with Birds of Prey   April 16th 1pm
Min Creasy from Thronbush Farm will present her work as an animal rehabilitator.  Min lives cooperatively with birds of prey and uses them as a songbird deterrent in her Finger Lakes vineyard.  Min's talk will be complimented by Rose Borzik who will present a rehabilitated Red-tailed Hawk.
