Hey, that's me! Eating Ithaca podcast features Ithaca's Food Web

A few weeks ago, I sat down with Dave from Eating Ithaca to chat about Ithaca's Food Web. His latest podcast features that conversation, one in a series of interviews with local food bloggers.  You can listen here.

The Eating Ithaca podcast includes restaurants reviews and interviews with people in the local food scene, with new episodes about once every two weeks.

Here's what Dave says about the latest episode:

We're taking a break from our regular podcast series to introduce you to some of the other local food bloggers who have been making names for themselves in the Ithaca food community. We've been lucky enough to get to know a few of these people over the past year and we're excited to share their stories with you.

This time we're talking with Alison Fromme, creator of the blog Ithaca's Food Web, which is a uniquely hyperlocal resource for news stories on food-related issues in Ithaca and Tompkins County. Alison writes about everything from local cooking trends and farming updates to broader topics of food safety and the ongoing debates over natural gas drilling and its potential effects on agriculture in our area. She also has the best calendar of food-related events in Ithaca we've seen.

  2. Thanks! Yours is great too! I think it's so amazing that we've all popped up here on the web with slightly different and important niches:
    Eggs on Sunday = cooking,
    Eating Ithaca = restaurants,
    Ithacork = wines,
    Ithaca's Food Web = news.

    And, I was happy to see your recent cranberry apple cobbler recipe -- I have some extra cranberries lying around here!
