Ithaca's Farmers Market still going strong

Despite the cold weather, Ithaca's Farmers Market at Steamboat Landing was bustling with activity today. Compared with summer market, the December market hosts about a third of the vendors, with a wide variety of goods.

Here are some of the products for sale:
nappa cabbage
fresh cabbage
tatsoi
rutabagas
turnips
beets
lacianto kale 
red Russian kale
swiss chard
rainbow carrots 
orange carrots
potatoes
apples
honey
maple syrup
hot apple cider
wine
sheep's milk cheeses
beef snack sticks
sausage
bacon 
breads
pastries

And plenty of other products, such as:
sheepskin hats
clothing
leather belts
pottery
hanging artwork
holiday wreaths and bouquets

And more...  The market is open Saturdays from 10am to 3pm, until December 19, 2009.
