Meet us at the Food Justice Fair

Dear Ithaca's Food Web Friends,

As you know, we've been incubating a new version of this website that will be bigger, better, more inclusive and more connected. Thanks for your patience as we develop this new resource, which we are tentatively calling "Tompkins Food Web."

In the meantime, please join us at the:

Food Justice Fair on Saturday 9/27 at BJM Elementary School. You are invited to join in the Festivities. We will be joined by numerous other community groups focused on building a local, sustainable and just food system.

There will also be family fun events including an Anarchy Zone set up by the Ithaca Children’s Garden staff in the BJM playground, a speakers event, fair games with fruit and vegetable prizes, chicken petting, youth cooking demo and the chance to taste delicious seasoned roasted veggies.

The Food Justice Fair will be combined with the Latino Multicultural Festival this year and will include live music, a DJ contest, children’s craft area and food vendors.

Please mark your calendars and join us for this event. Combine family fun with an opportunity to join the growing movement to take local control of the food we eat, how it is grown and processed, and who has access to it. Our future is created by the steps we take today. Please come join us.

You can find more information about the fair on Facebook at

Thanks, and see you there!
