Club Veg: Event listing for February and March

Announcement from Club Veg:

"Club Veg is an all volunteer educational non-profit that works to educate about the benefits of a plant-based diet. Even if you don't want to go vegan, why not come and learn about how to eat plant-based more often? The public is always welcome at Club Veg events. The organizational meetings are for people who would like to get involved in volunteering for Club Veg. Cooking Class: Gluten-Free Vegan Valentine's Brunch (at dinner time)
Date: Tuesday, February 5th, 7 - 8:30pm

Location: Greenstar Westend store in Ithaca, 701 West Buffalo Street in Ithaca. Acess it from Seneca Street at Fulton Street.
Cost: $8 Greenstar members, $10 for non-members, pay night of class
Reservations: Required. Call Greenstar at 273-9392 or in person at the West End store.
What: Vegan Gluten-Free Valentines Brunch Class taught by Amie Hamlin: Happy Heart Smoothies, Oat Waffles, Tofu Scramble, Tofu Bacon
We will be having enough food to make it a meal, even though it is listed as a sampling event.

Club Veg & DOVE (Demonstrating Our Values Through Eating) Organizational Meeting
Date: Saturday, February 9th, 5:30 - 7 pm
Location: First Unitarian Society of Ithaca Annex, 2nd floor, 208 Buffalo Street, Ithaca
Cost: $10 if you would like a dinner, free if not. Please bring cash, exact change.
Reservations: Required if you want a dinner. Appreciated if you are coming but not eating.  Email clubveg@gmail.com or call 272-1126 before 10 pm. Make sure to specify name, date and name of event, and your phone number.
What: Organizational meeting for those interested in volunteering to help Club Veg and/or DOVE achieve their goals of educating people about healthy plant-based nutrition. DOVE (Demonstrating Our Values Through Eating) is a committee of the Social Justice Council of the First Unitarian Society of Ithaca. DOVE and Club Veg share the same goals.
Dinner Menu: Fettucini Alredo (nut-based), Garlic Bread, Salad. At least 80% will be organic, all will be vegan and gluten-free, salad dressing will be oil-free.

Date: Saturday, February 9th, 7 - 9:45 pm
Location: First Unitarian Society of Ithaca Annex, 2nd floor, 208 Buffalo Street, Ithaca
Cost: the movie is free. Dessert is available for $5. Please bring cash, exact change.

What: Maximum Nutrition - A compelling and funny movie. Dessert is Creme Brulee (yes, it's vegan and gluten-free).

Restaurant Outing: Curry's of India Annual Masala Dosa Luncheon
Date: Saturday, February 23, noon - 2 pm
Location: Curry's of India, 45 Court Street, Binghamton
Cost:
$14 over age 10, $7 ages 5-10, free for under-5's. PLEASE BRING CASH TO PAY AT THE DOOR.

Reservations must be in by Feb. 20th as it takes the chef three days to prepare the Masala Dosas. Any questions about the food ingredients, phone Iti at the restaurant - 722-8181.
What: This is our annual Masala Dosa Party. It's an all you can eat buffet.
