Farmers in Schoharie Valley still reeling from 2011 storms

Schoharie Valley farmers experienced major flooding damage after storms in 2011.

The Van Aller family dairy farm was hard hit. In response, an anonymous Ithaca farmer donated about $1000 of hay. The WNYT video below has more:



Schoharie High School students studied the effects of the rain on soil contamination, created a youtube video (below), and entered the Samsung "Solve for Tomorrow" contest (voting ends at midnight on Monday, March 12). Read more at the Albany Times Union.
