Free food pantries and programs in Ithaca and Tompkins County

LIST OF FREE fresh FOOD PANTRIES and PROGRAMS

FDN provides produce, breads, desserts, dairy, deli, and groceries (if available) to the programs listed below. Always double check the www.friendshipdonations.org website for the most up-to-date listings and for information about how to donate.

Monday to Friday:

·      Free daily meals at Loaves and Fishes. No income guidelines. All are welcome. Location: St. John’s Church, 210 N. Cayuga St., Ithaca; Monday, Wednesday, Friday at noon; Tuesday, Thursday at 5:30 pm
·      Excess is shared with Freedom Village USA: Rehab center – 160 troubled teens plus staff on Mondays

Tuesdays:

·      Immaculate Conception Church Food Pantry. Seneca near Geneva St., Ithaca 1:00 to 1:45 p.m.

Wednesdays:

·      Bread of life Food Pantry, Rt. 96, (temporary location) ambulance building next to Post Office, Candor, NY, 3:00-6:00p.m.

Thursdays:

·      Halsey Valley Pantry, GAR building, Hamilton Rd, Halsey Valley, NY, 4-4:45 p.m. NO HALSEY VALLEY PANTRY ON THIRD THURSDAY
·      Snacks for TC Probation Department and youth programs
·      Ithaca Youth Bureau

3rd Thursday (Dec. 15th): Danby Food Pantry, for residents only,
Danby Federated Church, Rt. 96B.  3 to 7 p.m.

Fridays:

·      Interlaken Reformed Church Pantry, Rt. 96 – 3:00 to 6:00 p.m.
·      Food is shared with four non-profit programs:
o      Cayuga Addiction and Recovery Services; Northern Lights Learning Center Families; outreach to low-wage work sites, youth groups, senior housing and families in trailer parks.

Saturdays and Sundays:

·      Free hot meal served at Salvation army, 150 N. Albany St, Ithaca, NY -Saturday -noon; Sunday – 3 pm (not an FDN program)
·      1st Saturday: Catlin First Methodist Church Pantry.  2:00-4:00pm
·      2nd Saturday: Grace Lee Wesleyan Church Pantry, Beaver Dams, NY, 2pm
·      3rd Saturday: Pantry #1 Worker’s Center – Linderman Creek Pantry, Community Room 12-12:30
·      3rd Saturday: Pantry #2 Sovereign Grace Baptist Church Pantry, Addison, Stuben county, 11:45
·      4th Saturday: United Church of Christ, McLean Church: Pantry 1:30-2:15
·      5th Saturday: Outreach to rural trailer parks

Sundays (Alternating Weeks):

·      West Village Apartments Food Pantry (12/4/2011, 12/18. etc.)
in apartment parking lot in front of Apt #637, 12:30-1:30
·      Overlook Apartments, (12/4/2011, 12/18. etc.)
Community Room, noon – 12:30
·      Reach Out For Christ Church Pantry, (12/11/2011, etc.)

Eligibility:

Limit: 1 pantry per week.
Suggested Monthly Income: 1 person -$1,500; 2 people – $1,800; 3 people – up to $2,000; 4 people – to $2,300
