POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT:
NEW YORK FARM BUREAU
ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC AFFAIRS

Available: Immediately
Area: Albany
The position of New York Farm Bureau Assistant Director of Public Affairs has become available immediately. Applications are now being accepted for this staff position.

The responsibilities of this position include managing NYFB’s social media presence (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube), assistant editor for Grassroots, the NYFB monthly newspaper, along with other newsletters, drafting E-Lobby letters and alerts, overseeing the NYFB website for content, design, and functionality, and the development of tools for usage by members and staff to communicate goals and vision of NYFB.

Requirements include a college degree or relevant experience, and Microsoft Outlook and Office computer skills, InDesign and Photoshop, in addition to strong graphic design and writing skills. Must have ability to write reports, business correspondence, articles and feature stories, and photography skills. Some travel will be required. A valid driver’s license and clean driving record required. Prior agricultural experience is desired, but not required.
