Giving Tree Cafe just opened! From their Facebook page: "Giving Tree Cafe, located in lower collegetown at 310 Stewart Avenue, is scheduled to open in mid January 2010. Serving the best in local and regional vegetarian cuisine, the Giving Tree Cafe will be open for lunch and dinner, as well as the ever popular weekend brunches. Providing the entire Ithaca community with healthy, wholesome food, as well as highlighting local art and live music, the folks at Giving Tree Cafe are ready to fill the void left by the sad loss of ABC Cafe during 2009. Stop by to say hello, and sample the exciting new menu the Giving Tree Cafe has to offer."
Smart Monkey closed on Sunday, January 17, 2010, according to the Ithaca Journal. The business will continue to cater events and make its retail space available for events.
