Ithaca Journal reports on home food preservation

Ithaca's home food preservation network, IthaCan, was featured on the front page of the Ithaca Journal today.  The article focused on a recent cider-making event hosted by the group (and yours truly was quoted).

In other food news, the Journal reported that Cornell Cooperative Extension at 615 Willow Ave plans to expand in order to accommodate more classes -- specifically more food-related classes. The current building only has one room with a small kitchen, and a future facility would ideally include a teaching kitchen.  Since CCE-TC hosts almost 3,000 classes annually on a range of topics, increased space is clearly needed.
