Tonight at 8pm, the film Know Your Mushrooms will play at Cornell’s Willard Straight Theater. As the title suggests, the film explores the world of mushrooms, including culinary uses. Documentary producer Ron Mann's "enthusiasm is infectious. He comes to praise mushrooms, not to bury them, and long may his frying pan sizzle," says a review in The Toronto Star.
Tickets are $6.50 for general admission, $5.00 seniors and CU staff & faculty, and $4.00 students. Kids 12 & under are admitted free.
This is the first of two mushroom events at Cornell this week. On Wednesday, Kathie Hodge will give a free lecture on mushrooms at 7:30pm in the Alice Statler Auditorium.
