A couple days before Thanksgiving, I cooked sausage, collards in the drippings with apple chunks, and cornbread studded with leftover bacon for our family dinner. The collards might make a good Thanksgiving side someday, I thought. I heaped the food onto my plate and dug in.
And then I stopped. My everyday is a feast, especially considering what the other 6.9 billion people on earth eat. Hm. Left me feeling grateful and guilty.
