Event: Crop Mob Sept 2, 2011

Announcement from Ithaca Crop Mob:

Hello Crop Mobbers!

Calling hands to help with Remembrance Farms onion harvest THIS SATURDAY!

Remembrance Farm is an organic and biodynamic vegetable farm that specializes in baby salad greens and root crops. They also raise laying hens.
It's last minute, we know, but the onions are ready to pull!

If you haven't Crop Mobbed, before this is a good one to start on. We'll pull onions for the Full Plate summer and winter shares, and then eat lunch together and get a tour of Remembrances gorgeous farm.

When: Sat. Sept. 3rd, 9 a.m.-1 p.m., followed by lunch
Where: Remembrance Farm - Searsburg Rd., T-burg
Who: everyone! Kids welcome, parents are responsible for supervision.
What to wear/bring: Bring a full water bottle, wear closed toed shoes and be prepared to get dirty. Please bring a place setting for lunch.

Please rsvp to ithacacropmob@gmail.com - we need at least 8 mobbers in order to get the harvest in.
Directions:
Take rt. 96n to T-burg, go through T-burg and then turn left onto 227. Take a right onto Searsburg Rd. (less than 1/2 mile on 227). Go about a mile on Searsburg Rd. and the farm is on your left, just past the intersection w. Mount Rd. About 15-20 min. drive from downtown Ithaca.
