Hancock Street P&C to become independent grocery store

The Fall Creek P&C, which closed a few months ago, will become a new grocery store, according to Tompkins Weekly and the Ithaca Journal.  The owners, originally from the neighborhood and who have leased the building to chain grocers for 30 years, decided to take on the challenge after meetings with community leaders and residents.  Shur Save and Associated Wholesalers will lease 15,000 square feet of space, and the remaining 10,000 will go to other tenants.
