Sweetland Farm offers a chance to get to know the farm

This just in, from Sweetland Farm in Trumansburg:

"Come on out to the farm for the Great Green Give Away this Saturday from 1-3 pm. Sign up for a summer, winter, or egg share (or all three) and get some fabulous greens and/or root vegetables! The green houses are TEEMING with gorgeous green life and it's a sight you've got to see. You'll receive 1 grocery bag stuffed full of greens or 4 pounds of root vegetables. Double that if we've received your sign-up before Saturday. We will also have eggs, roots, and greens for sale in any quantities you want.

So, wear a good pair of shoes. You will be picking the greens yourselves. We'll provide scissors - bring bags if you remember- and be ready for a heady Spring experience.

If you have already signed before the 13th rolls around you'll get DOUBLE the goodies.  This is a one time event - if you can't make it send a friend or neighbor in your stead. Bring a friend that's curious about the farm - this event is open to the public."
