Local farms help community appreciate winter crops, according to the Ithaca Journal's front page article today. The article focuses on winter CSAs, which allow customers to pay in advance for a weekly share of produce. Vegetables available here in the winter include kale, butternut squash, turnips, beets, onions, daikon, and more.
A few months ago, Ithaca's Food Web featured
a list of winter CSAs, including vegetable, meat, and cheese/eggs CSAs.
