Ithaca Journal reports on local farms and winter produce

Local farms help community appreciate winter crops, according to the Ithaca Journal's front page article today. The article focuses on winter CSAs, which allow customers to pay in advance for a weekly share of produce. Vegetables available here in the winter include kale, butternut squash, turnips, beets, onions, daikon, and more.

A few months ago, Ithaca's Food Web featured a list of winter CSAs, including vegetable, meat, and cheese/eggs CSAs.
