Enfield kitchen garden tour highlights joys and challenges of growing food

Yesterday (9/8/09), about 15 people toured a multi-family kitchen garden in Enfield to learn about growing food.

During the informal gathering, homeowners and participants chatted about late blight, walnut tree toxicity, and the proper orientation of garden rows, while they munched on chips with three homemade salsas, featuring red tomatoes, yellow tomatoes, and tomatillos.

The tour was organized by CCE-TC.  Check out similar upcoming events at the Ithaca's Food Web calendar.
