This weekend marks the third annual Farm Trail Weekend, August 1 and 2, noon to 5pm, sponsored by Cornell Cooperative Extension Tompkins County.
Here's their announcement:
Pick some blueberries at Locust Woods Farm and take home some mouthwatering apple cider doughnuts and fresh pressed cider from Littletree Orchards, visit the Finger Lakes Bee Keepers club President at White Dog Apiary, meet a camel, llama and alpaca at Heaven Llama Farm and enjoy an ice cream cone from the Frosty Cow made with milk from the cows you just met at Lew-Lin Dairy Farm.
Visit all 11 participating farms, or peruse just your favorite one- no matter how you choose to spend your time during the Farm Trail weekend you're guaranteed to have lots of fun!

White Dog Apiary -- home of Finger Lakes Beekeepers club President, Mike Griggs.
Settlement Horse Stables
Heaven Llama Farm -- more than just llamas, you will also find alpaca, ducks, and a camel!
Locust Woods Farm -- enjoy frolicking in the open air and pick some blueberries
Plantasia Nursery -- a mostly wholesale operation, that has a fantastic selection of trees and shrubs...great stop if you want to get stunning landscape ideas!

Cayuga Pure Organics Beanery -- the only organic dry bean producer in the area; check out their facility for cleaning and packing beans
Gardens of Earthly Mirth -- a small vegetable operation focused on greens and garlic
Threes Sisters CSA Vegetable Farm -- a beautiful hand powered farm
Quinn's Irish Hill Farm -- featuring pastured poultry where you can see what "cage free" really means
Lew-Lin Dairy Farm -- after meeting the cows enjoy an ice cream cone made from their milk at the Frosty Cow
Farmers' Choice -- plump and juicy blueberries are ready to be picked and devoured!
