News from the farm: High Point Farms

Just heard that High Point Farms, LCC is on Facebook.  But farm owner Tina MacCheyne says that you can still visit the real-live farm in person. “Stop by and see how different meat chickens look from laying hens,” Tina suggests, since they are growing fast.

Tina reports that the High Point cattle herd is back down in the front pastures and the calves are growing stronger everyday and still fun to watch play.  The chickens are moving through the pastures taking care the cow pies.  Recent farm improvements include gravity feed watering system for the back pastures and purchased a solar panel to charge a fence battery for the back pasture.

The High Point farm store on Route 96 12 miles north of Ithaca, just past Trumansburg, is now selling Murranda Cheese, Meadow Sweet Cheese, and Waid Honey in addition to meat and eggs.  The store is open on Tuesday and Fridays from 2-6pm and on Saturdays 11-2pm.  Tina will be at the Seneca Falls farmers Market today from 9-2, then at Trumansburg Market from 4-7.
