According to this recent KVUE piece, international food-service provider Sodexo is partnering with Ithaca College students to make dining halls more "green."
As part of the project, students completed energy and waste audits. In response to the information learned, IC plans to purchase more efficient exhaust fans and light sensors. In addition to other improvements, the improvements total about $215,000. Yearly energy savings are estimated to be $140,000.
